The First elected Sarpanch of the village was Late Pritam Singh Braich.
and present Sarpanch is Baldev Singh Johal elected in 2008 elections.
The Panchayat consists of 8 other elected members called Panchs.
If there is any dispute in the village, Panchayat tries to resolve it without the interference of police.
There are four Gurdwaras and one temple in the village.
It has 3 Banks : Punjab National Bank, Kapurthala Co-Operative Bank and Co -
operative society for Farmers.
Electricty was first provided to the village in 1964 with all efforts made by Ranjit Singh Chana(Late), Hardial Singh Chana and Harbans Singh Chana. First telephone in the village was also installed at Chana family residence in the village. First atta chakki was established by Chana family. First Ambassador car(PNQ 4800) and BSA Motorcycle was owned by Chana family and Giani Gurbachan Singh Pangli.
All the streets in the village are made with bricks and the one road which revolves arround the whole village is made of concrete.
People usually have their own means of transportation along with public transport options like Bus and Tempo service. Some villagers are also self-employed as taxi-drivers which they own and available on demand.
